Dr Meera graduated from the National University of Ireland and received her paediatric training in Kuala Lumpur General Hospital Malaysia and Princess Margaret Hospital Perth Australia. She attained her membership of the Royal College of Pediatrics and Child Health United Kingdom and thereafter proceeded to obtain a Fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2008.
Her training in Allergy and Immunology was undertaken from 2011 to 2013 at National University Hospital Singapore. Thereafter she completed her fellowship training at Fremantle Hospital and Health Services and in Princess Margaret Hospital Perth. In doing so she obtained her specialist recognition in Australia as a Clinical Immunologist and Allergist.
Currently her clinical practice involves all areas of pediatrics with a special interest in the fields of allergy, immunotherapy and immunodeficiency in both pediatric and adult patients.
She is an active member of the Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy, the Malaysian Society of Allergy and Immunology and continues to be involved in education and research activities.
She has published and presented on atopic dermatitis (eczema), food allergy, allergic rhinitis (hay fever), immunotherapy (desensitization), anaphylaxis, drug allergy, insect allergy, urticaria and (hives) and immunodeficiency.
